If you make your coffee in a french press then you need to grind whole beans down to a coarse grain, and for that purpose this is a solid grinder. I’ve been using it for nearly five years and it hasn’t let me down yet. I set the grind to the “16” setting, pour in my favorite beans, hit grind, and coarse ground coffee fills the plastic bin.
