Progress Log Instructions

First of all, let me thank you for taking part in the Just Eat Later trial!
The data you help me collect will be invaluable in helping others like us successfully lose weight and lead a happier life.
If you haven’t already copied the Log Form and Spreadsheet to your own Google account, please click the following link:
This will automatically create a copy of both the spreadsheet (which displays the data you enter) and the form (which is where you enter your data) in your free Google Docs account.

Now just click on Make a Copy and you will be transported to the spreadsheet.
All done? Excellent.
At this point, no one but you can see this spreadsheet. So let’s get started by giving me access.
In the upper right hand corner, click on the Share button.

You’ll be greeted by the following window:

In the People field, enter raul@justeatlater.com.
Then click on the pen icon to the right of the People field, and click Can View.
Finally, click Send.
Alright, now that both you and I have access to your progress, let’s get acquainted with the spreadsheet.
Take a moment to look at the Progress Charts tab to see how your data will be displayed.
The existing data is temporary and is just there to give you an idea of what kind of charts you’ll have access to.
There are four charts that will show your progress with your Weight, Waist Size, Fast Days, and Hours of Sleep.

It’s always nice to have a visual representation of your progress!
Next, click on the Progress Data tab.

Under the Personal Information section, enter the following information:
- First name
- Last name
- Gender
- Age
- Your current Weight
- Today’s Date
- Your Email Address.

Note: If you are a Trans-Man or Trans-Woman, please use TM or TF accordingly to help me better understand and segment this data.
Next, click on the Form Responses tab.

On the Form Responses tab, do the following:
Left click (and hold) on row 2, drag your cursor down to row 8, and let go. Rows 2 through 8 should be highlighted now.

Right click on the highlighted rows and click Delete Rows 2-8.

The Form Responses tab should be empty now.
Next, click on the Progress Data tab once more. On the right hand side you’ll see a section that says Notes. Aside from the Personal Information section, this is the only section of this page you can edit on this sheet.
NOTE: When you’re recording your data each night, feel free to type any notes or thoughts you have about the day in this section. Whether you’re just saying the day was easier than the day before, or you’re saying you didn’t drink enough water and felt dizzy, or you ate something you normally love but it made you feel miserable, make a note of it. The more data the better.
Under the Notes section, left click (and hold) on the first Sample Data entry, drag your cursor down to the last Sample Data entry, and let go.

Now your spreadsheet has no data. So let’s take a look at how you will be adding data to the sheet.
First you’ll need to go to your Google Forms Dashboard. Here’s a shortcut:
Once there, you’ll see a document named Copy of Just Eat Later – Daily Log Form. Click on that document.

After it opens, in the upper-right corner of the screen, click on Send.

In the window that pops up, enter your email address in the To field under Email and click Send.

Now close out this document and check your email on your smart phone.

Click on FILL OUT FORM and the Daily Log Form will launch on your phone’s browser.

That’s it!
Now each night when you’re ready to enter your progress for the day, you just open your phone, click on the shortcut, fill out the form, and press Submit.
I’ve tried to cover everything here, but please let me know if you run into any problems.

Once again, thank you for your help. And most of all, best of luck!
